Oakland Accepts Invitation to CIT

Oakland University has accepted an invitation to compete in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason tournament, announced by Director of Athletics Jeff Konya on Monday. The Golden Grizzlies will host the opening round game on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17, at 7 p.m.

"We are excited about having an opportunity to host a postseason game inside the O'rena," said Konya. "Our fans should relish an opportunity to see this team play in the postseason, and such experiences can only assist in the further development of the program moving forward."

This is the fourth time Oakland has played in the CIT postseason tournament. The Golden Grizzlies are 4-3 all-time in the mid-major postseason tourney, and a perfect 4-0 inside the O'rena.
