Oakland's Kahlil Felder was named to the 2015 Lute Olson Award Preseason Watch List, announced CollegeInsider.com on Monday. The Lute Olson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I player who has played at least two seasons.

The Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year, Felder averaged 18.1 points and 7.6 assists per game last season, the only player in the NCAA to average over 17.0 points and seven assists per game. He was a Lou Henson Award finalist, given to the nation's top mid-major player, and was a Mid-Major All-American.

Felder is one of 30 players in the nation to be named to the preseason watch list and is joined by Michigan State's Denzel Valentine and Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes.

The award is named in honor of Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson, who won 780 games in 34 seasons, 24 of which were spent at the University of Arizona. During that stretch he led the Wildcats to 11 Pac-10 Conference titles, 23 consecutive NCAA Tournaments, four Final Four appearances and a National Championship in 1997.
