Complete 3-Meter Results

MINNEAPOLIS - Junior diver Tricia Grant concluded her performance at the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships with a 25th place finish on the 3-meter springboard Friday afternoon with a score of 297.90.

"Overall, it was a great experience; we will use what we learned here and see what we can do next season," Oakland diving coach Larry Albright said. "Everything she did in the air today was absolutely amazing, and she nailed her last dive. To finish 25th in the country is quite an achievement."

Grant's final dive, an inward 2 1/2 somersault in the tuck position, scored 58.05 to wrap up her performance and move her up two spots in the standings. Grant also scored 53.65 on her third dive of the six-dive competition, a reverse 1 1/2 somersault with a 2 1/2 twist.

Grant, Oakland and the Horizon League's first-ever women's diver to compete at the NCAA Division I Championships, posted Oakland's third-highest national individual finish since the program joined Division I in 1998.

The 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Minnesota, conclude Saturday, March 22 with the final swimming events and platform diving.
