INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC’s Sebastian Ostrowski and Cleveland State’s Alice Sommerville are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week for Jan. 21-27.
Ostrowski, a sophomore from Darien, Ill., took home first place in one individual event and helped UIC’s relay teams win two other events in the Flames dual-meet victory over Valparaiso on Jan. 26. He won the 100-back in :51.79 and was on UIC’ winning relay teams in the 200-medley (1:36.34) and the 200-free (1:27.72).
Sommerville, a senior from Methven, New Zealand, won all three of her individual events in CSU’s dual-meet at Akron on Jan. 26. She won the 100-breast (1:04.95), the 200-breast (2:22.87) and the 100-butterfly (:56.63) as the Vikings fell to the Zips, 156-144.
