Men's Athlete of the Week
Terrell Williams, UIC, Sophomore, Rock Island, Ill.
Williams took home three, first-place marks to propel the men's track and field squad to a third-place finish at the Fifth Annual Puma Invitational, hosted by St. Joseph, on Saturday afternoon. Williams picked up the long jump title with a season-best leap of 6.83 meters, along with wins in the triple jump (13.22 meters) and the javelin (43.66 meters).

Women's Athlete of the Week
Katie Slamka, UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Racine, Wis.
Slamka won the 400-meter hurdles and took second in the 100-meter hurdle event to help the Panthers to a third-place finish at the Central Collegiate Championships. In the longer event, she posted a time of 1:04.28 in the windy conditions. She also finished as runner up in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 15.11.

Other Top Men's Performers
Jeremy Majors, UW-Milwaukee, Sophomore, Janesborrow, Ga.
Majors led the Panthers to a second-place finish at the Central Collegiate Championships with a win in the 400-meter. Facing windy conditions, the sophomore from Georgia raced to a time of 49.16 for first place.

Jason Greenamyer, Youngstown State, Freshman, Salem, Ohio
Greenamyer placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 139'2" and fifth in the long jump with a mark of 20'11.25". He added seventh-place finishes in the high jump (5'10.75") and the 110 hurdles (15.04). NOTE: Everything but the javelin was recorded in Akron's indoor facility because of inclement weather.

Other Top Women's Performers
Andrea Karl, Detroit, Junior, Casco, Mich.
Karl won the 800-meter in a time of 2:15.32 at the EMU Twilight Open.

Jenni Goebel, UIC, Senior, Lombard, Ill.
Goebel ran away with the 5,000-meter run, defeating her nearest competitor by close to two minutes, with a first-place time of 17:59.8 to lead the women's track and field team to a third-place finish at the Puma Invitational.

Marie McVetta, Wright State, Sophomore, Grafton, Ohio
McVetta won the 1500 (4:56.84) and 5000-meter (1834.97) runs at the University of Louisville's Cardinal Invitational on Saturday.

Bethany Anderson, Youngstown State, Freshman, Jamestown, N.Y.
Anderson placed fourth in the hammer at the Akron Quad Meet with a mark of 160'. He also took seventh place in the shot put with a heave of 42'4.75".
