Milwaukee, Wis. - Former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee standout Dylan Page is headed overseas.
The 6-foot-9 Page has signed a contract with Ment of Thessalaniki in Greece's first division.
This season will be Ment's first in the Greek First Division, considered one of Europe's top leagues. Page will head to Greece in two weeks for training camp, with the season opening in October.
"It's a great opportunity for Dylan," UWM head coach Bruce Pearl said. "He has worked very hard for this and it is a wonderful reward for him. The Greek league is certainly known as one of the best in Europe and I am certain Dylan is capable of being a strong contributor to his team."
Page, the Horizon League Player of the Year, led the Panthers and the Horizon League in scoring this season while leading UWM to the regular season Horizon League title and its second-straight post-season appearance.
Page ranked in the top 10 in the Horizon League in seven different statistical categories while winning Mid-Major All-American honors from CollegeInsider.com and all-region honors from both the United States Basketball Writers Association and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He led the Panthers in scoring 23 times this past season while scoring 20 or more points 20 times.
During his career at UWM, Page led the Panthers to a pair of Horizon League titles, an NCAA Tournament berth in 2003 and an NIT berth and the school's first Division I post-season win in 2004.
This is the second-straight year a Panther has signed to play overseas. Clay Tucker played last season in Sweden.
