Pogue, Cummings Named Divers of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay’s Daniel Pogue and Cleveland State’s Kacey Cummings are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week for Oct. 10-16.

Pogue, a senior from Chisholm, Minn., earned diver of the week after placing first in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in Green Bay’s dual-match victory over South Dakota State. Pogue won the 1-meter event with a score of 325.28 and the 3-meter event with a score of 307.88. Both times qualified Pogue for the NCAA Zone Diving Regionals in March.

Green Bay travels to Ohio this week to face Wright State on Thursday and Cleveland State on Saturday.

Cummings, a senior from Farmington Hills, Mich., swept the diving events in last week’s dual-match at Niagara to help the Vikings defeat the Purple Eagles. Cummings had a score of 241.65 in the 1-meter dive to win and a score of 262.45 in the 3-meter dive to take home top honors in that event.

Cleveland State is next in action on Oct. 22 when it hosts Green Bay.
