INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time this season, Milwaukee senior Jake Reilly (Waunakee, Wis.) and Valparaiso sophomore Jessica Richardson (Columbus, Ind.) have been jointly named the Horizon League Runners of the Week.

Reilly and Richardson were also honored for the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1.

This is the third Runner of the Week award for Reilly, who paced Milwaukee at the Bradley Classic in Peoria, Ill., on Friday night. Reilly set a personal record with his 24:57 time in the 8K, placing 17th overall and leading Milwaukee to an 11th-place finish. Reilly was the top Horizon League finisher in a field that also included UIC and Green Bay.

Richardson has now been named the Runner of the Week twice in 2012, pacing Valpraiso with a 18:09 5K and a career-best second-place finish in a field of 55 runners at the Evansville Invitational on Saturday. With her fourth top-10 placing in as many races this season, Richardson led Valpo to a fourth-place team finish.

Neither Milwaukee nor Valparaiso will run again before Milwaukee hosts the Horizon League Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Kenosha, Wis.
