Road teams notched three victories in Saturday Horizon League women’s soccer action, as Northern Kentucky and Cleveland State remained unbeaten in conference play. Both are chasing Milwaukee, however, as the Panthers collected their fourth League win to stay atop the table.

Northern Kentucky 3, Detroit 1: The Norse offense dominated the second half against Detroit to help lift Northern Kentucky over Detroit, 3-1, at Titan Field as NKU improved to 3-0 in Horizon League play. Overall, NKU's record moves to 7-3, while Detroit falls to 4-6-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the Horizon League. Read more…(link)

Cleveland State 1, Green Bay 0: Cleveland State remained perfect in the Horizon League and earned a key three points with a 1-0 win at Green Bay. After a scoreless first half in which the Phoenix outshot CSU, 9-7, the Vikings got on the scoreboard when Kaila Sargema netted her fourth goal of the season at the 70:47 mark when she headed in a corner kick from Katie Bainbridge. Milwaukee 4, Youngstown State 0: Anna Smalley continued her tear over the last week, netting her sixth goal of the season to kick off a four-goal outburst that saw Milwaukee stay atop the Horizon League table with a 4-0 victory over visiting Youngstown State. Oakland 3, Valparaiso 1: Oakland snapped Valparaiso’s 11-match unbeaten streak in Horizon League play, answering an early Crusader goal with the next three to claim the 3-1 victory. The Golden Grizzlies would use tallies from Nessa Ogbonna to tie the match before Katy Wagner notched the eventual game-winner in the 23rd minute. Read more…(link)

Wright State 1, UIC 0: Bryce Hueber’s header in the 55th minute sent Wright State past host UIC, 1-0. After a scoreless first half, Hueber notched the game-winner 10 minutes into the second half, heading the ball in off a corner kick from Sarah Colvin. Read more…(link)
