INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee sophomore Sarah Hagen has been named Horizon League Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 21-27. Hagen wins the award for a second consecutive week and the fifth time in her career.
Hagen, a native of Appleton, Wis., recorded two goals and one assist in Milwaukee's only game last week -- a 5-1 win over Loyola University Chicago on Friday.
The Horizon League's 2008 Newcomer of the Year ranks among League leaders in shots per contest (1st, 5.09), points per game (2nd, 1.45), goals per match (2nd, 0.55) and assists per game (2nd, 0.36) through 11 tilts this season.
The Panthers own a 3-5-3 overall record, but have already played seven Big Ten Conference opponents and two Big East Conference foes.
Milwaukee returns to action on Friday when it travels to Butler University at 4:30 p.m. ET.
