INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee sophomore Sarah Hagen has been named Horizon League Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 28-Oct. 4. Hagen wins the award for a third consecutive week and the sixth time in her career.

Hagen, a forward from Appleton, Wis., recorded five goals -- on just 10 shots -- in a pair of road matches last week. She helped Milwaukee post a 1-0 win over Butler University on Friday and 5-1 victory over Valparaiso University on Sunday.

Hagen tallied four of Milwaukee's five goals against Valpo. It was just the fifth four-goal performance in UWM's Division I history and the first since Oct. 12, 1997.

The Horizon League's 2008 Newcomer of the Year ranks among the League leaders in shots per contest (1st, 5.08), points per game (1st, 2.00), goals per match (1st, 0.85) and assists per game (T-3rd, 0.31) through 13 tilts this season.

The Panthers, who have already played seven Big Ten Conference opponents and two Big East Conference foes this season, own a 5-5-3 overall record and 3-0-0 League mark.

Milwaukee returns to action on Friday when it hosts Cleveland State University at 8 p.m. ET.
