INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee sophomore Sarah Hagen has been named Horizon League Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Oct. 12-18. Hagen wins the award for a fifth consecutive week and the eighth time in her career, which are both all-time women's soccer records.

Hagen, a forward from Appleton, Wis., recorded all three of Milwaukee's goals in two League triumphs last week. She helped the Panthers post a 2-0 win over the University of Detroit Mercy on Friday and 1-0 victory over Wright State University on Sunday.

Hagen extended her goal-scoring streak to nine games on Sunday, tying the 11th-longest streak in NCAA Division I women's soccer history. She owns a League-best five multi-goal performances this season, with all coming in the past seven contests.

The Horizon League's 2008 Newcomer of the Year ranks among the League leaders in shots per contest (1st, 5.59), points per game (1st, 2.47), goals per match (1st, 1.12) and assists per game (T-7th, 0.24) through 17 tilts this season. She also ranks in the nation's top 10 for points and goals this year.

UWM, 9-5-3 overall and 7-0-0 in League play, has already clinched the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship. The Panthers will host the tournament's semifinal (Nov. 6) and final rounds (Nov. 8) next month.

Milwaukee wraps up regular-season action on Friday when it travels to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay at 8 p.m. ET.
