INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee senior Kerri Schuh has been named Horizon League Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Butler freshman Brooke Ruffolo has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for the period of Oct. 10 - Oct. 16.

Schuh, an outside hitter from Appleton, Wis., had 43 kills last week to help the Panthers remain undefeated in Horizon League play. Schuh had 23 kills and hit .583 in Milwaukee’s four-set win over Loyola on Friday. On Saturday, Schuh’s 20-kill, 16-dig, seven-block performance helped the Panthers rally from a 2-0 deficit at Green Bay to knock off the Phoenix. She became the first Panther since 2008 to collect 20 or more kills in back-to-back matches. For the week, Schuh hit .404 with 43 kills while committing just five errors.

This is the third offensive player of the week nod for Schuh. She is the only player this season to be named offensive player of the week more than once.

Schuh and Milwaukee are on the road this week as they travel to Dayton on Friday to face Wright State and play in Indianapolis at Butler on Saturday.

Ruffolo, a libero from Farmington Hills, Mich., had 38 digs (5.43 per set) in helping Butler go 2-0 last week. Ruffolo had 19 digs at Youngstown State on Friday as the Bulldogs knocked off the Penguins in four sets. On Saturday, Ruffolo also had 19 digs as Butler defeated Cleveland State in three sets, handing the Vikings only their second loss in Horizon League play.

The Bulldogs look to extend their current five-match win streak this week when they host Milwaukee on Saturday.
