INDIANAPOLIS - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2017 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes. Seven Horizon League programs earned All-Academic Team Recognition and 40 student-athletes represented the league as Scholar-Athletes.
To qualify for the recognition, teams must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, factoring in all varsity letter winners. Student-athletes must be varsity letter winners, have a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters to earn Scholar-Athlete honors.
