INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State forward Shalonda Winton has been named the Horizon League women’s basketball Player of the Week, while Valparaiso guard Charae Richardson has been named the Newcomer of the Week.

Winton, a native of Pittsburgh Pa., recorded her first career triple-double in leading the Vikings to their third straight win. The senior forward scored 29 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and passed out a career-high 11 assists in CSU’s 87-75 win over Miami (Ohio). It marks the seventh time this season Winton has recorded at least 20 points as she leads the Horizon League with a scoring average of 24.1 points per game.
