INDIANAPOLIS—Cleveland State’s Philipp Sikatzki (Strongsville, Ohio) and Youngstown State’s Viktoria Orosz (Budapest, Hungary) have been named the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week while Green Bay’s Michael Klemm (Rockford, Ill.) and UIC’s Whitney Johnson (Roscoe, Ill.) have been named Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week for the week of Nov. 19-24.

Cleveland State hosted the Magnus Cup that expanded three days and included ten different squads. Sikatzki led the Vikings in the water, collecting four individual wins throughout the Cup. The sophomore garnered NCAA Division I B-cut times in two events with his 47.69 winning performance in the 100-Butterfly and his victory in the 100-Backstroke in a time of 48.11. Sikatzki’s 100-Backstroke also broke Cleveland State’s school record. His other two wins during the meet came in the 200-Backstroke with a time of 1:48.38 and the 200-Individual Medley with a 1:50.14 finish.

Youngstown State joined the Vikings at the Magnus Cup with Orosz leading the way for the Penguins. The freshman set three school records during the meet while winning two individual events. Orosz placed first in the 500-Freestyle with a time of 4:54.63 and picked up her second victory of the Cup in the 200-Freestyle hitting the mat in a time of 1:50.01 with both performances breaking school records, respectively. The freshman went on to break the school record by 15 seconds in the 1650-Freestyle with a 16:56.03 finish, good for second place.

The Green Bay men’s swimming and diving team competed at the IUPUI House of Champions against nine other teams. Klemm reached the top of the leader board in the one-meter with a winning score total of 295.95 while competing against 12 fellow divers. The freshman also placed third in the three-meter after tallying 275.45 points.

UIC participated in the TYR Invitational over the weekend taking on seven other teams. Johnson garnered the most points for the Flames during the diving events, placing fourth in the three-meter and third in the one-meter. The senior compiled a score of 264.05 on the three-meter board while totalling 251.35 in the one-meter.

All teams take a break from competition over the Thanksgiving Holiday with Cleveland State first to return to the pool on December 2 in a dual meeting against Canisius.
