INDIANAPOLIS – Detroit senior Simon Reyers has been named Horizon League Men’s Golfer of the Week, while Youngstown State senior Sarah Heimlich has been named Horizon League Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Reyers paced the Titans at the NYX Hoosier Invitational played at the IU golf course, helping Detroit post a season-low 893 to tie for 11th place. The senior from Kingston, Ontario was top Titan in the clubhouse sharing 26th place with a season-low 221 (73-76-72). He scored an eagle in the first round and finished the tournament with a team-best 34 pars and tied for the fourth best score on the course's par 5's with a -3, 4.50 average.

Detroit returns to the links on Saturday when it hosts the 54-hole Detroit Titans Invitational, held at the Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland, Mich.
Heimlich, for the second consecutive season, ended the two-round Niagara Purple Eagles Invitational in a tie for first place. She lost in a playoff to finish in second place. The Elizabeth Township, Pa., native shot an opening round 77 to stand in a tie for first and had a 76 in the closing round to finish the event with a score of 153.

Youngstown State is back in action April 20-21 in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State Invitational.

Other Top Performances
Alex Cusumano, Loyola(Jr.) – Cusumano finished one stroke shy of advancing to the playoff at the Grand Prairie Collegiate Classic. He shot a 76-76-70—222 to finish third out of 34 golfers. His third round score of 70 was a season-low.
Rick Denny, Wright State (Jr.) – Denny led the Raiders as he tied for 41st with a three-round score of 225 at the NYX Hoosier Invitational.
Allyson Hackman, Cleveland State (Fr.) – Hackman tied for 38th place out of 83 golfers at the Colonel Classic. She carded rounds of 79-79-80.
Gene Kiela, Green Bay (Fr.) – Kiela fired a career-best two-under-par 70 in the final round to finish in a tie for sixth place at the Bradley Invitational. He helped the Phoenix to the second-best team score of the 2012-13 season.
Lindsey Lammers, Detroit (Jr.) – Lammers recovered from an opening-round 80 to shoot a 75 on the final 18, while knocking in 22 pars and playing the par 5's to an even 5.00 average, second best in the field. She finished tied for third in the event with teammate Christina Thorne.
Cherise Mangal, UIC (So.) – Mangal shot the Flames’ first round in the 70s this spring in the second round of the Bradley Invitational. She shot an 87-79-87—253 to finish in a tie for 22nd place.
Brandon Pluchinsky, Youngstown State (Fr.) – Pluchinsky scored the lowest three-round score of his career en route to a 26h place finish at the NYX Hoosier Invitational. His first and third round scores of 72 were career-best scores.
Christina Thorne, Detroit (Jr.) – Thorne carded the best round for the Titans in the two days at the Niagara Purple Eagles Invitational with a two-over-par 74 on Tuesday and topped the competition with 23 pars.
Andy Webb, Valparaiso (Sr.) – Webb lost in the playoff of the Bradley Invitational to finish in second place. He shot rounds of 80-73-68---221 to record his best finish of the season. His third round score tied for the low round of the tournament.
