Six YSU Softball Players Earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

STARKVILLE, MISS. - Six Youngstown State softball players have been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2007-08 school, the association announced.

Penguins earning scholar-athlete recognition include Danielle Chase, Autumn Grove, Tasha Hess, Becky Hibner, Erin Schindler and Kelli Sheibley.

In order to be eligible for the NFCA award, student-athletes must possess a 3.5 grade-point average.
