OMAHA, Neb. -- Horizon League student-athletes Mitch Stover, Kile Aukerman, Emily McClellan and Rachel Waite wrapped their 2016 United States Olympic Swim Team Trials on Thursday morning. Stover and Aukerman competed in the men's 200 individual medley, while McClellan and Waite swam in the women's 200 breaststroke.

Stover, who will be a junior at Wright State in the fall, posted a time of 2:06.33, fifth in his heat and 64th overall. Aukerman, who swam with Stover at Wright State before graduating, touched the wall in 2:07.69 in the 200 IM, the 78th-best time in the event.

Stover competed in the 100 backstroke and 200 IM in his first trials, while Aukerman swam the 100 and 200 breaststrokes prior to today's 200 IM.

McClellan and Waite both competed in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. A Milwaukee alumna, McClellan was 38th in the 200 breast, touching in 2:32.36. Waite, the first Oakland women's swimmer to qualify for multiple events at the U.S. trials, went 2:38.68 in the 200 breast.
