Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Brad Stuver
Sophomore, Goalkeeper
Twinsburg, Ohio

INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State sophomore goalkeeper Brad Stuver (Twinsburg, Ohio) has been named Horizon League Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the week beginning Nov. 1.

The honor was the third of the season for Stuver and his second straight.

A week after leading Cleveland State (8-9-1) to a 2-1 win over then-No. 1 Akron, Stuver stopped all seven shots on frame in helping the Vikings record a 0-0 tie at No. 6 Butler.

Butler entered the match ranked sixth in the NCAA in goals scored and seventh in goals per game; the Bulldogs finished the contest with 21 shots and eight corner kicks, but could not push a goal past Stuver.

In the first half, Stuver came away with six saves, leaving his final save of the match for the second overtime.

The deadlock pushed Cleveland State into a tie for third place in the Horizon League; the Vikings will be the No. 4 seed in the League Tournament, for which they qualified for the third straight season.

With the fourth seed, Cleveland State hosts a first round contest on Tuesday, Nov. 8; the Vikings will take on No. 5 seed Detroit at 7 p.m. ET, with live coverage available on HorizonLeague.com.
