MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Thompson posted a pair of individual victories against Milwaukee, and helped the 400-yard medley relay team to first-place as well. He won the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.35, and the 200 butterfly in 1:53.55, while also swimming the butterfly leg of the relay. Wright State won the dual meet.

Weidert won two events in the dual against Milwaukee, including the 200 IM (2:09.07) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.83). She also helped the 400-yard medley relay team to victory, as the Raiders won the meet.

MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK

Balow was the runner-up in both diving events at the UIC Diving Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 21). He was less than a point behind the winner in the three-meter (279.35), and posted a total of 249.90 in the one-meter event. He earned 26 points, helping Green Bay win the team title.

With 36 points, Helland was the high-point scorer at the UIC Diving Invitational. She was victorious on the three-meter board with a score of 249.10, and added a third-place finish on the one-meter (233.75). Her effort led Green Bay to a six-point victory at the meet.

Leibold won a trio of events on Saturday (Oct. 20) against Eastern Michigan, including the 1000 freestyle (9:40.29), the 200 butterfly (1:55.97) and the 500 freestyle (4:42.69). He also earned second-place finishes in the 500 and 1000-yard freestyle events against Wright State on Friday (Oct. 19).

PJ Rongitsch

Rongitsch recorded three victories, two runner-up efforts and one third-place finish over the weekend. On Friday, he won both diving events to pace UWM at Wright State. He added two second-place efforts on Saturday against Eastern Michigan, and won the one-meter competition (249.20) and earned third-place on the three-meter (268.80) at the UIC Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 21).

Adam Jajtner

Jr., Port Washington, Wis.

Jajtner finished second in the 1000 freestyle against Xavier with a time of 10:21.50, while posting the third-fastest 500 freestyle time (4:59.09), including exhibitions. Against St. Louis and Evansville, Jajtner placed second in the 1000 freestyle (10:26.52) and third in the 500 freestyle (4:59.38). He was also a member of the runner-up 400 freestyle relay team (3:24.10).

Malone earned a fourth-place finish in the one-meter event (211.80) and fifth-place in the three-meter (178.10) at the tri-meet event at Butler last weekend.

Jr., Wheaton, Ill.

Oleynik led the Flames at the UIC Diving Invitational, placing third in the one-meter dive (239.45) and fifth in the three-meter event (237.50).

Other Women's Top Performers

Leigh Weston

Fr., Pendleton, Ind.

Weston led the Bulldogs last weekend as she finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:33.52, which was the team's highest finish in any event. She also added a seventh-place showing in the 200 IM (2:23.89)

Frances CarRion
Cleveland State
Fr., Coconut, Fla.

Clarion set a personal-best time this season as she finished first in the 500 freestyle (5:26.07) at St. Francis on Saturday. She also placed second in the 1000 freestyle (11:07.53) and helped the 200-yard freestyle relay to a first-place finish (1:46.29).

Molly Finn
Milwaukee
Jr., Pewaukee, Wis.

Finn recorded a victory in the 200 butterfly against Wright State by almost four seconds with a time of 2:08.13, and added a second-place in the 200 IM (2:12.75). Against Eastern Michigan, Finn was runner-up in the 200 butterfly by less than half a second.

Ashley Hall

Jr., New Berlin, Wis.

Hall earned first place in four diving events last weekend, sweeping the boards in duals against Eastern Michigan and Wright State. On Friday, she led a one-two-three finish for UWM against WSU, and followed that effort up against EMU on Saturday, where she posted a zone-qualifying total of 295.91 on the three-meter.

Sonia Peterson

Fr., Morton Grove, Ill.

Leading the Flames for the second-consecutive meet, Peterson placed third in the three-meter event (232.60) and sixth at the one-meter height (202.10) at the UIC Diving Invitational on Sunday.

Rachel Majercik
Valparaiso
So., Schaumburg, Ill.

Against Xavier, Majercik won the 100 freestyle by .16 seconds with a time of 54.74, and placed third in the 100 butterfly (1:00.92). She also was part of the runner-up 200 medley relay team.

Sara Weigel
Youngstown State
Fr., Poland, Ohio

Weigel placed fifth in the one-meter and seventh in the three-meter at the Clarion Diving Invitational. Her score of 215.20 in the one-meter ranked behind three of the top eight divers at last year's Division II National Championships.

Ashley Williamson
Youngstown State
Fr., Dundee, Scotland

Showing the potential impact she will have for YSU's team, Williamson led off the 300 backstroke relay with a 100-yard split of 1:00.91, just .57 behind the all-time school record. Her time was also three seconds faster than the fastest YSU time last season, and ranks her third in school history.
