MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Eckstein posted four individual victories over three duals last week. He posted two victories in the 100-yard backstroke, one against Green Bay (53.52), and another against Valpo (53.11). Eckstein won the 1000-yard freestyle (9:53.33) against the Phoenix, and took the 200 backstroke against UIC (1:52.80). He also helped his team maintain an undefeated record in the medley relays this season.

Wieczerzak posted victories in five different individual events and added two relay victories as well last week. She won the 1000-yard freestyle against Green Bay on Thursday (Oct. 25) with a time of 10:28.72, and then followed that up with wins in the 200 IM (2:10.97) and 500 freestyle (5:02.87) against UIC. She also scored wins in the 400 IM (4:33.96) and the 100 backstroke (59:48) against Valpo.

Baiko earned victory in the one-meter and three-meter events against Green Bay on Saturday, with impressive scores of 291.75 in the one-meter, and 311.75 on the three-meter board.

WOMEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK

McGraw had three wins and three second-place finishes in six events on the week. She won the one-meter (264.40) against WSU, as well as against CSU (263.47), and she took the three-meter event against YSU and Marshall (234.50). She was runner-up in the three-meter against both WSU and CSU, and in the one-meter against YSU and Marshall.

Against Green Bay on Saturday (Oct. 27), Dobies won the 200 IM (1:58.29), the 200 breaststroke (2:07.93) and helped the 400 medley relay team to victory in 3:29.77.

Alex Hill

Hill won two events for the Phoenix against CSU on Saturday, touching the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:46.42) and the 500 freestyle (4:43.24) He also helped his 400 freestyle relay team to a runner-up finish against CSU, and earned three second place finishes against Wright State in the 200 freestyle (1:44.64), the 500 freestyle (4:42.98) and the 200 freestyle relay.

Bobby Balow

Balow earned one victory an three third-place finishes on the week, winning the three-meter dive against WSU (276.52), and taking third-place in the one-meter (270.00) and in both boards against CSU.

Evan Dunn

Dunn won two events last weekend, taking the 200 IM (1:54.80) against WSU on Friday (Oct. 26), and then the 400 IM (4:08.24) over Northwestern on Saturday.

Tristan Oleynik

Leading the men's diving squad last weekend, Oleynik earned a first-place finish in the one-meter against WSU (275.15) and third in both boards against Northwestern.

Ansel Hillmer

Jr., Tampa, Fla.

Hillmer finished second in the 100 butterfly (54.69) and was a member of Valpo's third-place 200 medley relay team (1:45.33) in Valpo's dual against Wright State.

Kurtis Malone

Malone had the second-best score on the one-meter board with a career-best effort of 226.20.

Eddie Craft

Craft posted a victory in the three-meter diving event at UIC (261.13), while taking second in the one-meter. He also earned first-place against Valpo in the one-meter (230.25) and second in the three-meter event.

Carrion finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:00.80), second in the 500 freestyle (5:20.01) and assisted the 400 freestyle relay team to a second-place finish against Green Bay on Saturday.

Shannon Demrow
Green Bay
Fr., Algonquin, Ill.

Demrow led the Phoenix to a 3-1 dual record last week by winning four of her five individual events and helping three relay teams earn the top spot. Against Wright State on Thursday (Oct. 25), she won the 500 freestyle (5:04.89), while taking third in the 200 freestyle and second in the 200 freestyle relay. She was victorious in both the 200 freestyle (1:55.72) and the 500 freestyle (5:08.09) in the double dual against YSU and Marshall. She concluded the weekend with wins in the 200 butterfly (2:10.65), the 400 medley relay, and the 400 freestyle relay.

Kelly Hashoian

Hashoian broke a five-year old school record in the 1000 freestyle in only her second collegiate competition, finishing with a time of 10:30.40. She came back Saturday against Northwestern and nearly broke the 500-yard freestyle school record, posting a time of 5:08.78, good for third place.

Sonia Peterson

Fr., Morton Grove, Ill.

As the leading Flames diver this season, Peterson won the one-meter against WSU with a score of 224.70, while finishing second in the three-meter event (206.63). She also posted a season-best three-meter performance against Northwestern on Saturday, scoring 237.83.

Jaclyn Krause

So., Rochester, Mich.

Krause won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54:45 against Wright State. She was part of a 200-yard medley relay team that set a school-record of 1:50.69 and finished second, as well as the runner-up 200 freestyle relay team.

Anna Orwick

So., Broadlands, Ill.

Orwick earned second-place on the one-meter board against Wright State with a mark of 193.15.

Stevi Dimasso

So., Cincinnati, Ohio

Dimasso posted a pair of victories, winning the three-meter at UIC (221.10) and the one-meter event at Valpo (201.55).

Ashley Williamson
Youngstown State
Fr., Dundee, Scotland

Williamson broke a nine-year old 200-yard backstroke school record with a time of 2:08.51 to top the previous record time of 2:09.57. She placed second in the event, only to last year's League champion, Danielle DeGrand of Green Bay.
