MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
LeRoy Stevens
UIC, Junior, Arlington Heights, Ill.
LeRoy Stevens of UIC has been selected the Horizon League Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for Oct. 26.
As UIC opened a new season, it was the same old story in regard to Stevens' contribution to the team. The third-year freestyle standout won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle in convincing fashion against Eastern Illinois, swimming a 21.47 in the 50 and a 47.12 in the 100, beating the next closest finisher by over a second in both races. The Arlington Heights, Ill., native also shined in relays leading off relays over the weekend, swimming a 21.41 50 free split in beginning the men's 200-yard free relay on Saturday, while leading off the 800-yard freestyle with a team-best 200 split of 1:47.15 at the Northwestern Relays, helping the UIC men take second place at the event.

Lindsay Caldwell
UW-Milwaukee, Sophomore, West Bend, Wis.
Lindsay Caldwell of UW-Milwaukee has been selected the Horizon League Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week for Oct. 26.
Caldwell won the 100 freestyle event in UWM's dual meet with Northwestern, touching the wall in 53.54 for the win. She also added a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke event (2:25.85). On Sunday, she competed with three second-place relays at the Northwestern Relays, helping Milwaukee to a third-place finish. Among the relays she competed with were the 200, 400 and 500 freestyle.

Jeff Scadden
UW-Green Bay, Senior, Sun Prairie, Wis.
Scadden led off the breaststroke relay at Northwestern with a solid 59.3 swim, leading the Phoenix to a runner-up finish in the event behind Northwestern.
Jeff Jasinowski
UW-Milwaukee, Junior, Bayside, Wis.
Jasinowski won the three-meter event at the UIC Diving Invitational to lead the Panthers to a second-place finish at the meet. He complemented his score of 247.35 in the event with a fourth-place finish from the one-meter board, where he scored 235.55 points.

Colleen Dougherty
UIC, Freshman, Woodstock, Wis.
It was a fantastic weekend for UIC freshmen at the pool, but it was Dougherty who sped out of the gates in taking the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard free events against Eastern Illinois on Saturday. Dougherty took the 100 freestyle by nearly two seconds, covering the distance in an even 55 ticks, while outracing teammate Kelly Hyatt in the final moments of the 50 free to win in 25.09. Dougherty was also clutch in relay action, finishing off a fine 1:41.43 performance by the Flames in the 200-yard free relay with the fastest split of the squad, jetting to a 24.40.
Kate Riebe
UW-Green Bay, Freshman, Milwaukee, Wis.
Riebe led off two Phoenix medley relays at Northwestern and nearly led the Phoenix to an upset of the Big Ten Wildcats. Her 27.16 split in the 200 medley relay put the Phoenix in the lead early. She also posted a 59.85 split to lead off the 300 backstroke relay.
Jordan Dunn
Youngstown State, Senior, Boardman, Ohio
Jordan Dunn picked up two victories to pace the Penguins to a double-dual sweep of Niagara and Vermont on Sunday. Dunn won the 1,650 freestyle in a personal-best time of 18:25.62 and the 500 free in 5:27.22. Her time in the 1,650 ranks her as the second-fastest swimmer in the event in YSU history.
