Male Swimmer of the Week

Scott Lang, Wright State
Jr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
Lang won the 1000 free (9:39.00) and 500 free (4:46.10) at UW-Milwaukee and was a member of the winning 400 free relay team. He also won the 200 free (1:45.06) and 500 free (4:41.87) at UW-Green Bay and was on the winning 200 free relay team.

Female Swimmer of the Week

Danielle DeGrand, UW-Green Bay
So., Green Bay, Wis.
DeGrand led the Phoenix over Wright State Saturday, capturing titles in the 400 individual medley (4:29.50) and 500 freestyle (5:04.46) as well as competing in the 200 free relay (1:38.31). All of DeGrand's times in the previously mentioned events were good for Dorschel Natatorium records.

Male Diver of the Week

Chris Dalman, Cleveland State
Sr., Auburn, Wash.
Dalman won both diving events Saturday, helping the Vikings in the victory over Valparaiso. He posted scores of 319.50 in the one-meter and 344.63 in the three-meter.

Female Diver of the Week

Emily Duesler, UW-Milwaukee
Sr., Middleton, Wis.
Duesler was fantastic this week, winning three of four events she participated in. On Friday, she swept both boards against Wright State. On the one-meter, her score of 258.08 won by over 34 points. Duesler then topped that on the three-meter, setting a personal-high with 293.48, winning by over 75 points and topping her old best of 283.25. That total was also an NCAA Zone qualifying score. At the UIC Diving Invitational, Duesler helped UWM repeat as team champions by winning the three-meter event. She recorded 235.35 points on the three-meter board, topping the field by over 15 points. She came up less than seven points away from another victory on the one-meter board, settling for third with 221.55 points (first was 227.50).

Other Men's Top Performers for the Week

Ryan Kellerman, Wright State
Sr., Erlanger, Ky.
Kellerman won the three-meter diving at UW-Milwaukee with a total of 282.08. He then went on to win the one-meter diving at UW-Green Bay, finishing with 259.20.

Marko Milenkovic, Cleveland State
So., Nis, Serbia & Montenegro
Milenkovic won the 100 free (:46.71) and 200 free (1:43.21) against Valparaiso on Saturday. He also swam the anchor leg of the winning 400 medley relay (3:30.18).

Corey Kupfer, UW-Milwaukee
Sr., Grafton, Wis.
Kupfer took third on the one-meter board and second on the three-meter board against Wright State on Friday. On Sunday, Kupfer finished third on both the one- and three-meter boards at the UIC Diving Invitational. His score of 224.15 trailed the leader by just under 20 points in the one-meter event. He added a point total of 239.25 on the three-meter to collect the other third-place finish.

Mark Pappalardo, UIC
Sr., LaGrange, Ill.
Pappalardo swept the men's diving events at the UIC Diving Invitational on Sunday. The senior tallied a first-place 244.20 on the one-meter board before taking a three-meter victory with a score of 283.70. Pappalardo has won all four diving events he has competed in this season.

Raj Duggal, Butler
Sr., Columbus, Ind.
Duggal led the Bulldogs in their first-dual meet victory since 2001, winning three events against Transylvania. He posted a 500 free time of 5:04.82, and added a top mark in the 1,000 free with a 10:45.43 and finished with a 200 fly time of 2:06.31.

Other Women's Top Performers for the Week

Jessica Weidert, Wright State
Jr., Spokane, Wash.
Weidert won the 200 breast (2:23.16) at UW-Milwaukee and was also part of the winning 400 medley relay team. She then won the 100 breast (1:07.50) at UW-Green Bay.

Marianne Lionell, Cleveland State
Sr., Sodertalje, Sweden
Lionell won the 200 free (2:00.09) and the 200 breast (2:32.80) and also swam the anchor leg of CSU's winning 400 medley relay (4:13.60) as the Vikings lost, 113-110, to Valparaiso on Sunday.

Lindsay Caldwell, UW-Milwaukee
Sr., West Bend, Wis.
Caldwell took home wins in both the 200 free (1:55.01) and 100 free (:52.16) in the Panthers' home-opening team victory against Wright State Friday. Her performance in the 100 free nearly set a new Klotsche Natatorium record, just missing the record of :51.84, she set last year. She then followed up that showing with a lead-off of :52.34 to help UWM to a team victory in the 400 free relay.

Sarah Economides, UIC
Sr., Downers Grove, Ill.
Economides led the Flames with two runner-up finishes at the UIC Diving Invitational on Sunday. The senior posted a three-meter score of 220.80 before tallying a 227.35 that came within less than a point of first place in the one-meter standings.

Sarah Lynn Gates, Butler
So., Lexington, Ky.
Gates notched a pair of wins in the Bulldogs' first dual meet victory since 2004. She swam to a top mark in the 200 back with a time of 2:19.93 and posted a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.21.
