Horizon League Swimmers of the Meet
Scott Lang
Wright State, Jr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
Lang was named the men's Swimmer of the Meet after claiming four victories at the League Championships. Individually, Lang took top honors in the 1650 free (15:42.04), 1000 free (9:21.84) and 500 free (4:29.34). He also helped the Raiders to a victory in the 800 free relay (6:44.55).
Lindsay Caldwell
UW-Milwaukee, Jr., West Bend, Wis.
For the third straight season, Caldwell was named the women's Swimmer of the Meet. This year she came away with three individual victories in the 100 free (:51.77), 50 free (:23.37) and 200 free (1:52.34). Caldwell also swam a leg on the winning 400 medley relay team (3:51.89).
Horizon League Divers of the Meet
Chris Dalman
Cleveland State, Sr., Auburn, Wash.
Dalman claimed victories in both diving events at the 2007 Horizon League Championship. He defended his title in the one-meter, posting a 341.85. Dalman then came up with a 368.65 on the three-meter, edging ou UIC's Mark Pappalardo who finished with 365.95 points.
Crystal Szymanski
UW-Milwaukee, Sr., Hales Corner, Wis.
Szymanski took first place on the one-meter board at the League championship with a score of 273.45. She also put together a runner-up finish on the three-meter with 279.00 points, falling short of UW-Milwaukee's Emily Duesler.

Wright State, UW-Green Bay earn 2007 Horizon League Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving titles
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay women picked up their third consecutive Horizon League title last weekend, while the Wright State University men returned to the top of the podium to earn their seventh team title after last claiming the crown in 2005.
On the men's side, the Cleveland State University Vikings finished second to the Raiders, coming in with 700.5 points. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee came in third with 622, followed by the University of Illinois at Chicago with 547.5, UW-Green Bay with 519 and Butler University at 219.
For the women, the Phoenix defeated UW-Milwaukee by a narrow margin of 845 to 832.5. The duo was followed by Wright State at 737.5, UIC at 480, Youngstown State at 252.5, Cleveland State at 218.5 and Butler with 157.
Men's Newcomer of the Year, Jakub Dobies of Cleveland State, set two Horizon League Championship records in both breaststroke events. He set a mark of :53.77 in the 100 breast, while posting a 2:00.92 in the 200 breast. Women's Newcomer of the Year, Shannon Berndt of UW-Milwaukee also set Horizon League Championship records in both breaststroke events. Berndt put up a 1:03.81 in the 100 breast, and in the 200 breast, she posted a time of 2:19.82. The winning UIC women's 200 free relay team of Kelly Hyatt, Emily Biancalana, Andrea Giczewski and Colleen Dougherty bettered the League Championship record with a time of 1:35.24. The women's 800 free relay championship record was eclipsed by UW-Green Bay's contingent of Kristin Carlson, Dana Doute, Molly Cox and Laurel Yelton.
