Men's Athlete of the Week
Ivan Kovalev, UIC, Junior, Almaty, Kazakhstan
Kovalev extended his winning streak to five and clinched his ninth win in his last ten contests with three victories at No.1 singles this week. Kovalev remained perfect at No. 1 singles in Horizon League play with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Youngstown State's Tom Barth to move to 4-0 in league matches. The junior from Kazakhstan then went on to blank IUPUI's Juan Mas by a 6-0, 6-0 score and down Chicago State's Prabowo Imanuel by a 6-4, 6-4 margin. Kovalev also won all three of his doubles matches with teammate Andy Lockhart.

Women's Athlete of the Week
Tayo Bailey, UIC, Junior, Chicago, Ill.
Bailey has won nine straight singles matches, including three last week at the No. 2 singles spot. She blanked non-league opponents from Dayton and IUPUI, 6-0, 6-0, and posted a 6-3, 6-4 win over UIC's Molly Smith.

Other Top Men's Performers
Parker Ross, Butler, Junior, Libertyville, Ill.
In the Bulldogs only action last week, Ross registered two wins for Butler at Toledo in the team's 4-3 win. Ross, playing up a position at the No. 2 singles spot, defeated Khalid al Nabhani, 7-6 (5), 6-3, after teaming up with freshman Tony Aker to take a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles, which helped to clinch both the doubles point and the match as the teams split the six singles matches. Butler remains undefeated in Horizon League play heading into this weekend's contests at Cleveland State and Youngstown State.

Scott Hayden, Wright State, Senior, Wilmington, Ohio
Hayden had a perfect week going 4-0 versus Dayton and Cleveland State, winning both the singles and doubles match against each team. The senior from Wilmington only dropped four points against Cleveland State winning 6-2, 6-0 against Alex Livingstone in singles and a 8-2 victory with Kevin Teufel over Mike Durr and Livingstone.

Other Top Women's Performers
Sarah Galon, Cleveland State, Sophomore, Waianae, Hawaii
Galon won both of her No. 1 singles matches over the weekend, scoring a 6-2, 6-2 win over Bianca Savarino of Detroit and a 7-6 (3), 6-2 victory over Jessica Lee of WSU. She also teamed up with Morgan Ungerott at No. 1 doubles, scoring a pair of wins. She has won nine of her last 10 matches for a team-best 16 victories and has won 12 of her last 14 doubles matches for a team-best 14 wins.

Amy Inman, Detroit, Freshman, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Inman lost just three games in defeating Cleveland State's Christine Vogelsang, 6-1, 6-2, in the fifth singles flight of Saturday's match. Inman also had a hand in a 9-7 victory over the Vikings at No. 3 doubles. One day earlier, Inman was one of only two Titans to win a set in a loss at Youngstown State as she fell to Nicole Muzechuk, 7-5, 6-7 (4), 1-0 (7).

Corey Steven, UIC, Junior, Wichita, Kan.
Steven set the tone for a big UIC win at Butler, blanking Kim Jensen 6-0, 6-0 while teaming with Christina Oum to defeat Tayo Bailey and Shaden Dowiatt in doubles play to propel the Flames to a 5-2 win and hand the Bulldogs their first League defeat.

Amy Meissner, UW-Green Bay, Sophomore, Two Rivers, Wis.
Meissner posted a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles over UWM's Matzinger in last week's 7-0 Phoenix win over the instate rival Panthers. Meissner also teamed with senior Amber Murdoch for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

Audra Beckett, Wright State, Sophomore, Hamilton, Ohio
Beckett went 2-0 versus Cleveland State on Saturday with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Lindsay Sellers in singles play and a 8-4 win with Laura Culbertson over Jenn Myers and Christine Vogelgesang.
