INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Green Bay junior Kayla Tetschlag has been named Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of Nov. 30-Dec. 6. The selection marks Tetschlag's first weekly honor from the League office this season and the second of her career.

Tetschlag, a forward from Sheboygan, Wis., averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two non-conference victories last week. She drilled 12-of-24 (.500) from the floor and 10-of-11 (.909) from the free-throw line.

Tetschlag recorded 16 points and five rebounds in a 79-68 upset of #21/23 DePaul University on Wednesday. She then tallied 21 points, nine boards and four assists in an 82-69 win over the University of Northern Iowa on Saturday.

Tetschlag ranks among League leaders in three-point percentage (4th, .471), scoring (5th, 14.6), free-throw accuracy (6th, .839) and field-goal percentage (8th, .493) through seven contests this season.

Green Bay, off to a 7-0 start for the second straight season, returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Ball State University for a 7 p.m. ET contest. The Phoenix received 47 votes in the most-recent Associated Press poll, which is good for 28th in the nation.
