INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC, Wright State and Green Bay all collected wins on Sunday night, capping a 9-3 weekend for Horizon League men's basketball teams.

In the finale of the 2k Sports Classic benefitting Coaches vs. Cancer, UIC picked up its biggest win of the season to date, knocking off Rhode Island, 74-68.  Robo Kreps, who earned MVP honors of the subregional, had a game-high 27 points, while Paul Carter added 24 for the Flames, joining his teammate on the All-Tournament Team.

Trailing by four at the half, UIC overcame a seven-point deficit with a 12-4 run early in the half, taking control of the game.  Rhode Island would tie the contest at 56, but a Kreps bucket and Carter transition basket gave the Flames the lead for good.

Playing its opening game of the Chicago Invitational Challenge, Wright State clamped down on defense, holding Southern to 43 points in a 66-43 win over the Jaguars.  The Raiders led from wire to wire, taking advantage of 20 Southern turnovers, converting the miscues into 24 points.

Freshman Matt Vest was nearly perfect from the floor, hitting 8-of-9 field goals to finish with a 18 points; senior Vaughn Duggins matched Vest with 18 points.  Troy Tabler added 10 points for Wright State, who will host Oakland on Tuesday before wrapping up the tournament in Hoffman Estates, Ill., over Thanksgiving weekend.
