Horizon League Men's Basketball Weekly Release - Regional Semifinal

NEW ORLEANS -- Of all the trips Horizon League teams have made in the NCAA Tournament, the League has never sent a team to the Crescent City.  The Southeast Regional finally snaps that streak, as Butler arrived in New Orleans last evening in preparation for Thursday's regional semifinal against Wisconsin.

Butler's practice is at 2 p.m. ET, with media availabilities to follow.  HorizonLeague.com will have complete coverage, including a preview of tomorrow's game (9:57 ET, TBS) later today.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune starts its regional coverage with the yin and the yang of the regionals, recounting Butler's run to the national championship from last year.  The Times-Picayune also breaks down its ten best Elite Eight games.

Butler is making believers, one Sweet 16 at a time, writes David Woods.  The movement is afoot to move Matt Howard's No. 54 to the rafters of Hinkle Fieldhouse when his career is over.

Shelvin Mack's resurgence has led Butler to this point.  Remember, Butler opened the season at No. 17/18 (AP/Coaches) largely because of Mack and Howard.

The calm exhibited by the Bulldogs in late-game situations has led directly to their wins in the NCAA Tournament.  Howard - ratty socks and all - has led Butler to this point, writes Dana O'Neil, lifting both the basketball program and the university.

Tim Layden breaks down a wild weekend in the NCAA Tournament for Sports Illustrated, one that Butler got rolling with its 60-58 victory over Old Dominion.  Slate.com offers a look back at the craziness last Saturday.

The Badgers keep getting lost in the shuffle during this regional, says the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.  All of the sudden, Wisconsin has gone from chic pick to be upset to the favorite in the regional.

Rob Jeter is no longer in the running for the Bradley head coaching job, choosing to stay at Milwaukee.
