MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Traci Edwards, a senior on last season's University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team, has signed on to play with Lukoil Neftochimic in Bulgaria.

Edwards completed her first professional season in August, helping the Caboolture Suns to the semifinals of the Queensland Basketball League playoffs. She averaged 23.3 points and 11.3 rebounds in 16 games with the Suns.

The 2008 and 2009 Horizon League Player of the Year, Edwards has scored in double-figures in all but one professional game and posted eight double-doubles with Caboolture. She had two 30-plus point games and had a 45-point outburst during the season. In two playoff games, she averaged 26 points and 17 rebounds, while playing all 90 minutes.

Lukoil Neftochimic is located in Burgas, Bulgaria, and is one of the top teams in the Bulgarian National League. The team has won three Bulgarian League championships in the last five years, finishing as runner-up twice in that time. It has also won the Bulgarian Cup four times since 2004, last in 2008.

Edwards capped her collegiate career in March, leading the Panthers to the Horizon League Championship game. She finished as the leading scorer in Milwaukee, state of Wisconsin and Horizon League history. She was the first woman in school, state or league history with 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.

In addition to her two Player of the Year awards, she was also a four-time All-League First-Team member and the 2006 Newcomer of the Year.
