Youngstown State University freshman Kiplangat Tisia, Loyola University Chicago senior Erik Hernandez, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee junior Kelsey Conrad and University of Illinois at Chicago freshman Kellie Schuh have been named Horizon League Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the period of Jan. 26-Feb. 1.

Tisia, a native of Koibey, Kenya, receives the Men's Running Events honor after winning the mile (4:18.35) and 3,000-meter (8:26.71) on Friday at a Dual Meet in Kent, Ohio. The 3,000 clocking was a personal record and the second-best mark in school history.

Hernandez, a native of Chicago, Ill., picks up the Men's Field Events award after winning the shot put (15.66 meters) and weight throw (17.06 meters) on Thursday at the Tadd Metzger Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. The weight-throw measurement broke his own school record.

Conrad, a native of Robbinsdale, Minn., receives the Women's Running Events honor after winning the 400-meter (57.00) on Friday at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational. She also helped the Milwaukee 4x400-meter relay to a first-place finish (3:52.04).

Schuh, a native of Crystal Lake, Ill., picks up the Women's Field Events award after winning the pole vault (2.88 meters) and placing second in the triple jump (10.86 meters) on Saturday at the University of Chicago Invitational.
