Youngstown State University junior Adam Kagarise and Loyola University Chicago freshman Devin Gosberry have been named Horizon League Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the period of Feb. 2-8.

Kagarise, a native of Canfield, Ohio, receives the Men's Running Events honor after setting two school records on Friday at the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational in Berea, Ohio. He helped Youngstown State finish third in the distance medley relay (9:58.61) and placed fifth in the 400-meter (47.62).

Kagarise and the Penguins return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio.

Gosberry, a native of Munster, Ind., picks up the Women's Running Events award after shattering a pair of school records on Friday and Saturday at the prestigious Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind. She placed eighth against several national competitors in the 300-meter (40.27) and helped Loyola to 15th in the 4x400-meter relay (3:56.75).

Gosberry and the Ramblers return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Chicagoland Championships in Romeoville, Ill.

No field event awards were handed out this week due to lack of nominations.
