INDIANAPOLIS - Detroit junior Lesley Hanna, Youngstown State senior Aaron Merrill, Milwaukee senior Kelsey Conrad, and Youngstown State sophomore Laura Kosiorek have been named Horizon League Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the period of Feb. 15-21.

Hanna, a native of Exuma, Bahamas, receives the men's track honor after winning the 400 meter (49.84) and 1,000 meter (2:30.19) on Friday at the Silverstone Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Merrill, a native of Leetonia, Ohio, picks up the men's field award after taking first place in the shot put (16.63 meters) on Friday at the Kent State Tune-Up in Kent, Ohio. The mark broke his own school record.

Conrad, a native of Robbinsdale, Minn., garners the women's track honor after winning the 60 meter (7.72) and 200 meter (25.18) on Friday at the UWM Panther Tune-Up in Milwaukee, Wis. She helped the Panthers finish first out of four teams.

Kosiorek, a native of Erie, Pa., collects the women's field award after taking second in the triple jump (11.63 meters) on Friday at the Kent State Tune-Up. Her distance ranks second in school history.

Detroit is set to host the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the University of Michigan Indoor Track Building in Ann Arbor, Mich. Milwaukee claimed both the men's and women's team titles a season ago.
