UIC Claims Second-Straight Regular Season #HLSB Title

The UIC Flames collected its second-straight regular season title Saturday after the squad swept Oakland in a three-game series. The Flames will now host the Horizon League Softball Championship beginning Wednesday, May 11 at Flames Field.

Wright State will be the tournament's No. 2 seed while Youngstown State returns to the championship after missing it a year ago as the third seed. 2014 champion Green Bay is the No. 4 seed, Cleveland State is the No. 5 seed and Valparaiso rounds out the championship field as the No. 6 seed.

The double-elimination championship begins with Green Bay versus Cleveland State Wednesday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET followed by Youngstown State taking on Valparaiso.
