#2 UIC 1, #1 Wright State 0

DAYTON, OH-- In a battle of the top two seeds for the Horizon League Men's Soccer Championship, the Flames edged the Raiders 1-0 in the final minutes to earn their first championship in men's soccer since 2007.

It was a very evenly played match with Wright State edging UIC in shots (13-12) and shots on goal (7-5), but the Raiders couldn't find the back of the net. The teams went back-and-forth with each having their opportunities to score throughout the match. The difference came in the 85th minute off of a UIC corner kick when eventual Tournament MVP Oscar Rivero headed the ball into the net for the game-winning goal.

Wright State's season comes to a close after another successful year in which the Raiders were the regular season champions with a 7-1-1- record.

On the other hand, UIC punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament with the victory. The Flames will learn of their opponent on Monday, November 14 at 1:00pm ET during the NCAA Selection Show which can be found on NCAA.com.
