GREEN BAY-Matt Rohde and Javier Mendiburu scored 19 points each, leading Wisconsin-Green Bay to an 81-76 victory despite Omari Westley's 38-point performance for Cleveland State Tuesday night.
Green Bay (11-3, 4-0 Horizon League) improved to 8-0 at home this season.
Rohde and Mendiburu had five 3-pointers each as the Phoenix tied a team record with 13 3-point goals.
Back-to-back 3-pointers by the two put Green Bay ahead to stay at 67-62 with just under eight minutes to play.
Mendiburu added two more 3-pointers for a 76-68 lead before Cleveland State made a late run.
Westley's three-point play inside and a fast-break layup by Raheem Moss pulled the Vikings within 77-75 in the final minute.
But Rohde and Ryan Evanochko combined to make four free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
