UW-Green Bay Rebounds for Win at UIC Monday

CHICAGO (AP) -- Benito Flores scored 22 points and Brandon Morris added 19 on Monday night to lift UW-Green Bay to a 78-66 victory over UIC in Horizon League play.


UW-Green Bay (17-7, 10-4) shot 56 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 46-34 half-time lead. The Phoenix hit 50 percent of their shots during the game.


Turnovers doomed the Flames (12-11, 7-6), as UW-Green Bay scored 29 points off UIC miscues. The Flames also came up short in their three-point shooting, hitting only four of three16 attempts.


Matt Rohde scored 16 points for the Phoenix, and Javier Mendiburu added 12 points and dished out 13 assists.


The Flames were led by Cedrick Banks' 20 points, with Karl White adding 17 off the bench.
