The first full week of the Horizon League play concluded Saturday the same way it began with wild games that showed just how competitive the season will be. UW-Green Bay, which beat Butler 57-50, is the only undefeated team in League play after Wright State downed Detroit 63-57 in the Fox Sports Net Horizon League Game of the Week. In other Horizon League games, Cleveland State ended a 23-game League regular-season winning streak with a 78-62 victory over Youngstown State, and UW-Milwaukee gave head coach Bruce Pearl his 300th career win by taking care of Loyola 73-56. In the lone non-League contest, UIC posted a quality win over Pennsylvania 57-47.
