Wright State 59, Butler 54


INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Zach Williams had 17 points and six rebounds, and Drew Burleson scored 14 more to lead Wright State to a 59-54 win over Horizon League opponent Butler on Saturday.


Wright State (9-9, 4-3) overcame a 28-24 halftime deficit to outscore Butler 35-26 in the second period to secure the win.


Three players scored in double digits for Butler (7-9, 2-4), Avery Sheets with 14, A.J. Graves with 12 and Brandon Polk with 11.


The Bulldogs built on their halftime lead to go up by 11 points, 44-33, with 12:22 left in the second half.


But then the Raiders went on a 12-0 run to take a brief 45-44 lead with 7:30 to go. Butler retook the lead about a minute and half later and led 54-49 with 4:23 left.


Wright State grabbed the lead for good with 1:15 to go on a basket by Zakee Boyd.


Also scoring in double digits for Wright State were DaShaun Woods and Boyd with 10 points each.

UW-Milwaukee 61, Detroit 48


DETROIT (AP) -- Joah Tucker scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half Saturday to lead UW-Milwaukee to a 61-48 win over Detroit.


The win kept the Panthers atop the Horizon League standings and avenged a Jan. 3 home loss to the Titans.


Brandon Cotton had 14 points for Detroit (7-10, 4-3), which shot just 28 percent from the field in the second half and was outscored 30-19.


The Panthers (14-4, 8-1) broke away with an 11-2 run midway through the second half. Tucker, who also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds, scored the first nine points of the streak.


The Titans took their first lead of the game by scoring the first four points of the second half, then went seven minutes without a point.


Ed McCants, the Panthers' leading scorer, finished with 10 points after spending most of the second half on the bench with four fouls.


Torvoris Baker was the only other Detroit player in double-figures with 12 points.

Cleveland State 78, Youngstown State 77


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Steve Gansey's 3-pointer down the stretch gave Cleveland State the lead for good in a 78-77 win over Youngstown State on Saturday night.


Gansey broke a tie at 72 with a 3-pointer with 1:50 left. Youngstown State's Brian Radakovich hit a free throw to cut the lead to two, but Mike Redell added another shot behind the arc for the Vikings (5-10, 2-5 Horizon League).


Quin Humphrey, who had 17 points for Youngstown State (3-15, 1-7), hit a basket and, after a turnover, Derrick Harris hit a jumper with 7 seconds left to cut the lead to a point. But the Penguins never got the ball back.


Omari Westley scored 28 points, Redell had 16 and Gansey 10 for the Vikings, while Radakovich had 19 and Khari McQueen had 15 for the Penguins.


Both teams shot 54 percent from the field.
