UW-Milwaukee 85, UIC 75


MILWAUKEE - Joah Tucker scored 26 points to lead three UW-Milwaukee players with at least 20 points as the Panthers claimed a key 85-75 win overUIC Saturday in front of a national television audience on ESPN2.


Ed McCants added 22 points and Boo Davis contributed 20 for UW-Milwaukee (17-5, 10-2 Horizon), which remained alone in first place in the Horizon League.


After seeing a 14-point first half lead slip away, the Panthers regained control of the game with an 18-3 run early in the second half. UIC then never got closer than five points the rest of the way.


Cedrick Banks scored 29 points to lead the Flames (10-10, 5-5), though he was held to just seven points in the second half. Elliott Poole added 19 points for UIC and Armond Williams had 18 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

UW-Green Bay 78, Youngstown State 49


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Matt Rohde led six UW-Green Bay players in double figures with 19 points and the Phoenix defeated Youngstown State 78-49 Saturday.


Benito Flores added 14 points, Brandon Morris had 13 and Josh Lawrence, Javier Mendiburu and Tyler Koenig each scored 10 for the Phoenix (16-6, 9-3 Horizon League). Mendiburu also had 10 rebounds and eight assists.


Brian Radakovich led the Penguins (4-17, 2-9) with 14 points and Quin Humphrey added 13.


Green Bay closed the first half on an 11-2 run to take a 30-21 lead. Rohde scored five in the surge on a jumper and 3-pointer, and Lawrence had two layups.


The Phoenix outscored the Penguins 48-28 in the second half while making 17 of 30 shots from the field. Green Bay finished 9-for-15 behind the 3-point arc.


Youngstown State shot only 32.8 percent from the field.

Loyola 74, Wright State 57


DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Blake Schilb scored 26 points and Loyola used 56.5 percent shooting to defeat Wright State 74-57 Saturday.


Schilb went 9-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range, and added eight assists. He also had seven of Loyola's 15 turnovers, but the Ramblers' offense made up for any mistakes.


The Ramblers (7-15, 5-7 Horizon League) made 16 of their 26 shots in the second half to break open a two-point game and finished 10-of-16 on 3s.


Wright State (10-12, 5-6) hit only 11 of 26 from the field in the second half and shot 41.2 percent in the game.


Zakee Boyd led the Raiders with 21 points. Drew Burleson and DaShaun Wood scored 12 apiece.


DaJuan Gouard added 15 points for the Ramblers.

Cleveland State 69, Detroit 62


CLEVELAND (AP) -- Omari Westley had 20 points, Raheem Moss scored 19 and Cleveland State rallied from a 24-point deficit to defeat Detroit 69-62 Saturday night.


The Vikings (8-11, 5-6 Horizon League) wiped out the Titans' lead by shooting 63 percent from the field in the second half. They went 8-for-9 from 3-point range following a 1-for-9 performance in the first 20 minutes.


After shooting 64 percent in the first half, Detroit (8-13, 5-6) hit only 29 percent of its field goals after halftime and lost its lead with a scoreless stretch that lasted nearly eight minutes.


The Vikings scored 15 consecutive points during the Titans' drought, turning a 55-41 deficit at the 12:17 mark into a 56-55 lead when Moss made two free throws with 7:10 remaining.


Detroit didn't score again until Ryvon Covile's layup with 4:44 left, giving the Titans their last lead at 57-56. Detroit equaled its largest lead at 49-25 with 18:52 remaining.


Cleveland State hit three 3-pointers during its 15-0 run. Westley had four points in the surge on two free throws and a jumper.


After four lead changes, Cleveland State went ahead to stay 63-61 on Mike Redell's 3-pointer with 3:08 remaining. Detroit failed to score after Covile made one of two free throws with 2:52 to play.


Brandon Cotton led the Titans with 17 points. Covile scored 11 and James Thues had 10.
