Milwaukee, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will face the University of San Francisco in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship. The contest is set to begin at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (Nov. 20) at Negoesco Stadium on the USF campus.
The winner of the match will face Cal-Santa Barbara, the ninth seed in the tournament, in a second round match next Tuesday.
UWM earned its fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament with a 3-2 win over Detroit Sunday in the Horizon League Tournament championship game. The Panthers have won their last two first round NCAA Tournament games, beating Oakland (Mich.) two years ago and Western Michigan last year.
The Dons (14-4-1) finished first in the tough West Coast Conference, winning their first league crown since 1994. USF has won nine of its last ten contests including a WCC title clinching 1-0 victory over Gonzaga on Sunday.
