MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Former Milwaukee men's basketball standout Ryan Allen has been added to the training camp roster of the Chicago Bulls.

Allen will be with the team when camp opens on Tuesday.

"This is a great opportunity for Ryan and we are very proud of him for earning this chance," Milwaukee head coach Rob Jeter said. "Ryan works hard on his game every day and has developed his skills to the point where people are taking a good look at him and his abilities. He'll keep working hard every day to get better and better."

Allen averaged 8.6 points and 5.1 rebounds for Milwaukee last season and made the Horizon League All-Defensive team. The Chicago native spent two seasons with the Panthers, helping UWM to a pair of postseason berths and the 2011 Horizon League regular season title.

Allen's brother, Tony, plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.
