MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Sarah Hagen of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women’s soccer team was named a Preseason All-American by Soccer America magazine, the publication announced Wednesday.
The junior from Appleton, Wis., was named to the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy Watch List earlier this month.
Hagen has scored a school and league-record 24 goals in each of her first two seasons, while earning a number of All-American awards. She enters her junior campaign with 48 career goals and 107 points. Both figures are in sight of school and league records. As a sophomore, her 24 goals led the nation.
Over the summer, Hagen has played with the U.S. U23 National Team, making two international trips with the team, starting two games and scoring a pair of goals. She then finished the season with FC Milwaukee of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Year.
