The sophomore doubles tandem of Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) and Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) received the 53rd spot nationally in Monday's Preseason Men's Doubles Rankings as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Both were also named to the prequalifying singles bracket at the All-American Championships along with fellow sophomore Dave Bacalla (Skokie, Ill./Niles North). The All-American Championships will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma beginning Friday, Sept. 26th.
Schorsch and Emhardt finished their rookie campaign with a 21-1 record in doubles play in 2013-14. Schorsch, who now owns the school record for singles victories in a season, won 27 matches a year ago. Bacalla and Emhardt captured 25 and 24 singles wins, respectively, last year.
