Taking a respite from the rigors of Horizon League play, all 10 conference teams will take part in Sears BracketBusters X this weekend. Two League teams, Valparaiso and Cleveland State, will be showcased on the ESPN Networks over the two days.
League-leading Valparaiso (19-9, 12-4 Horizon) heads to Loyola Marymount (17-10, 10-4 WCC), who sits in fourth in the West Coast Conference. The teams tipping at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, Feb. 18, with ESPNU carrying the game.
Cleveland State (20-7, 10-5 Horizon) hosts Colonial co-leader Drexel (22-5, 12-4 CAA). The game will be the first to air nationally on Feb. 19, with ESPNU airing the game at 11 a.m. ET from the Wolstein Center.
Horizon League teams will play opponents across seven different conferences, with Butler (16-12, 10-6 Horizon) welcoming Indiana State (16-11, 8-8 MVC) to Hinkle Fieldhouse. Loyola (6-19, 1-14 Horizon) and Bradley (7-21, 2-14 MVC) make up the second Horizon League-Missouri Valley matchu[, with the Ramblers heading downstate.
Milwaukee (16-12, 9-7 Horizon) will host the MAAC’s Fairfield (16-10, 11-4 MAAC), and Detroit brings the CAA’s James Madison (11-17, 4-12 CAA) to Calihan Hall.
In two Horizon League-Ohio Valley contests, UIC (7-18, 3-12 Horizon) will venture to Eastern Illinois (12-14, 5-9 OVC) and Youngstown State (14-12, 9-7 Horizon) to Austin Peay (9-19, 6-8 OVC). Green Bay (11-14, 7-8 Horizon) will host Eastern Michigan (11-15, 6-6 MAC) of the MAC. Wright State (12-16, 7-9 Horizon) will hit the road to meet UMKC (10-18, 4-12 Summit) of the Summit League.
