INDIANAPOLIS -- Valparaiso senior Wally Bradford (Mukwonago, WI) and Detroit senior Nikia Duncan (Murrieta, CA) have been named the Horizon League Indoor Track Runners of the Week.

Both Bradford and Duncan were running in their first meet following the winter break. It was also the first weekly honor for either.

Bradford won his only event while running at the Bob Eubanks Open, beating out a field of 38 runners in the one-mile run. His time of 4:19.15 put Bradford .74 seconds ahead of his closest competitor.

The Crusaders will next run on Friday at the Mike Lints Alumni Open in Allendale, Mich.

At the Central Michigan Invitational, Duncan picked up a first, second and third. She posted a 7.88 time to beat out a field of 13 in the 60m dash and a 27.01 finish to take third in a field of 27 runners in the 200m while also taking second place out of 10 teams in the 4x400m. Her team finished the circuit with a 4:11.78 time.

Duncan is Detroit's second winner on the female said this season, joining Nicole Meisner. The Titans will race again on Saturday in the Simmons-Harvey Invitational hosted by Michigan University in Ann Arbor.
