BUTLER BULLDOGS (18-7, 8-5)

  • At 18-7, Butler is off to its best 25-match start since 1997. The Bulldogs began that season 20-5.
  • Butler improved to 17-0 all-time against Youngstown State with a five-set win on Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly Center.
  • Butler ranks in the Horizon League's top three for blocks per set (2nd, 2.40), kills per set (2nd, 12.89), opponent hitting percentage (2nd, .161), hitting percentage (3rd, .209) and assists per set (3rd, 11.79).

    CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (6-17, 5-8)
  • Senior Jordan Bateman needs 27 more digs to reach 400 for the third consecutive season. She is the only player in Cleveland State history to have at least 400 digs in two seasons.
  • Sophomore Amy Benz hit 1.000 in the first set of Friday night's 3-0 win over Butler (6 K, 0 E, 6 TA).

    GREEN BAY PHOENIX (8-14, 4-8)
  • Senior Megan Elfering places seventh in the nation with 5.60 digs per set.Green Bay is still without a road win in 2008. The Phoenix has two more chances -- at Loyola (Nov. 14) and UIC (Nov. 15).
  • Green Bay has dropped six consecutive contests after a season-best three-match winning streak.

    LOYOLA RAMBLERS (17-8, 6-6)
  • Loyola's final four regular-season matches are at home. The Ramblers have won more than 75 percent of their contests at Alumni Gym all-time.
  • Sophomore Katie Johnson pounded out a career-best 20 kills in Tuesday evening's win over Western Illinois.

    MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (16-8, 9-3)
  • Junior Lauren Felsing places 14th in the country with 5.20 digs per set. Felsing has reached double-figure digs in 49 consecutive matches, which is the nation's third-longest active streak.
  • Milwaukee snapped a three-match losing streak with Friday night's victory over Green Bay. The win also helped the Panthers avoid three straight Horizon League setbacks for the first time since 1995.
  • Milwaukee went from 11 kills per set during the skid to 15 kills per set on Friday. The Panthers also improved their hitting percentage from .122 to .175.

    UIC FLAMES (11-14, 4-8)
  • Junior Katerina Hanackova (12 kills/16 digs), sophomore Casie Sullivan (14 kills/17 digs) and sophomore Jessica Dalke (26 assists/12 digs) all recorded double-doubles on Saturday afternoon at Wright State.
  • UIC ranks 42nd in the nation with 16.03 digs per set.

    VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (18-6, 9-4)
  • Valparaiso has won seven straight matches 11 of its last 12. The winning streak is the Crusaders' longest since 2005.
  • Valparaiso is just two wins shy of 20 for a seventh straight season. The Crusaders are one of just 19 Division I teams to have 20+ victories each year from 2002-07.
  • Valparaiso leads the nation with 15.19 kills per set and 14.12 assists per set.
  • Junior Angie Porche places sixth in the country with 4.65 kills per set. Senior Brittany Malicoat is eighth with 5.47 digs per set. Malicoat has reached double-figure digs in 75 consecutive matches, which is the nation's second-longest active streak.

    WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (13-14, 9-5)
  • Wright State closed out the home portion of its schedule by hitting .273 in a sweep of Loyola on Friday night and .261 in a four-set win over UIC on Saturday afternoon.
  • Juniors Lexi Leonhard (17 kills/18 digs), Becca Awaa (17 kills/18 digs) and Michelle Hammond (50 assists/19 digs) all posted double-doubles on Saturday afternoon against UIC.

    YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (10-14, 3-10)
  • Senior Ebony Barbosa went over 1,000 career digs on Saturday afternoon against Butler. Barbosa now has 1,008 digs, which ranks 11th all-time at Youngstown State. She needs just 59 more kills to become the fifth player in school history to have 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
  • Junior Ruth Boscaljon surpassed 950 career kills over the weekend. With at least four more matches this season, she has a chance to become the first junior in school history to reach 1,000 career smackdowns.
  • Junior Ruth Boscaljon (.306) and sophomore Haley Kapferer (.290) lead the Horizon League in hitting percentage this season. Boscaljon also paces the circuit in blocks per set (1.16), while Kapferer ranks eighth (0.89).
