BUTLER BULLDOGS (12-3, 2-1)

  • At 12-3, Butler is off to its best 15-match start since 1997. That season, the Bulldogs began the year 13-2.
  • The Bulldogs tallied 10 blocks at Milwaukee on Friday and nine more at Green Bay on Saturday. BU has recorded nine or more blocks in eight straight matches.
  • Sophomore Kelsey Labrum notched a season-high 20 kills in the win over Green Bay.

    CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (2-10, 1-2)
  • Senior Jordan Bateman had 27 digs on Friday evening against Wright State and is now 176 digs shy of taking over the school record (1,406).
  • Junior Beth Greulich had 11 kills and 10 blocks on Friday night against Wright State to record her first career double-double of the campaign.
  • Freshman Jordan Goad flirted with a triple-double vs. WSU before finishing with 44 assists, 13 digs and a career-high seven kills.

    GREEN BAY PHOENIX (5-8, 1-2)
  • Senior Megan Elfering (1,518 digs) is just two digs shy of becoming the school's all-time leader.
  • Each of Green Bay's past eight matches have gone at least four sets, and three of its last four matches have gone five sets.

    LOYOLA RAMBLERS (11-3, 2-1)
  • Loyola improved to 2-1 in Horizon League play -- all on the road -- with a win over UIC on Friday night. In fact, the Ramblers play seven of their first eight conference matches on the road, with the lone home appearance coming this Friday against Wright State.
  • Loyola's two Horizon League road wins this season have already surpassed last year's mark (1-7) and matched its total for the last two seasons combined. The Ramblers had won just four league road contests in three seasons under head coach Marcie Wolbeck heading into the 2008 campaign.

    MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (10-4, 3-0)
  • Milwaukee's early Horizon League victories have already extended a pair of winning streaks, with the Panthers having now won eight straight over Butler and 13 in a row over Wright State.
  • This week, Milwaukee will look to extend a string of nine straight wins over Green Bay. UWM also owns a 16-match winning streak against Youngstown State and six-match streak against UIC.
  • Milwaukee went 8-0 last October and is now 92-7 during the month over the last 11 campaigns.
  • Milwaukee has now won 49 straight matches after winning the first set, a streak that dates back to the beginning of 2006.

    UIC FLAMES (5-8, 1-2)
  • UIC is 3-1 on the road this season after posting a come-from-behind victory over Central Michigan on Sept. 23.
  • The Flames, who totaled 11 service aces in 10 sets last week, now rank second in the Horizon League with 1.49 aces per set.

    VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (7-5, 0-3)
  • Senior Brittany Malicoat broke Valparaiso's all-time digs record on Friday night. She now has 1,917 career digs.
  • Junior Angie Porche places seventh in the nation with 4.67 kills per set. She has reached double-figure kills in all 12 of her team's matches this season.
  • Valparaiso ranks sixth in the nation with 14.54 kills per set and sixth in the country with 13.33 assists per set.

    WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (5-9, 3-1)
  • Wright State has won three straight matches after dropping nine of its first 11 this season. The Raiders are now 3-1 in league play.
  • Wright State defeated Cleveland State and Youngstown State in five-set matches over the weekend. Saturday's match vs. YSU included 31 ties and nine lead changes.

    YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (8-5, 1-2)
  • Youngstown State's five-set loss at Wright State on Friday night is reminiscent of last season. Five of YSU's 11 league setbacks in 2007 came in five sets.
  • Senior Ebony Barbosa registered the 30th double-double of her career on Friday night at Wright State with 12 kills and 15 digs. It was also her fourth double-double of the season and her second in the last three matches.
