Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week
Nickole Kennedy
Cleveland State, Senior, Opp., Sunbury, Ohio
Kennedy led CSU to three wins last week, including a weekend League sweep for the first time in 10 years. She recorded a season-high .714 hitting percentage on Tuesday in a win over Oakland and a match-high 17 kills in Friday night's sweep of Loyola. For the week, Kennedy hit .441 with 3.60 kills and 1.10 blocks per game.

Taylor Gerlach
Wright State, Junior, Libero, Wheaton, Ill.
Gerlach posted double-figure digs in both Wright State matches over the weekend, including a team-high 29 in a win over Butler and 13 in a loss to IPFW. For the season, Gerlach is averaging 4.53 digs per game, good for second in the League.

Cheryl Hegemann
UW-Milwaukee, MB, Jr., Waterford, Wis.
Hegemann posted a career-best .750 hitting percentage in a win over DePaul last week, tallying 19 kills. She was one of three Panthers to reach double-figures in kills with 11 in Friday night's sweep of UW-Green Bay. For the season, Hegemann leads the Panthers in kills, stands second in blocks and third in digs.
Keily Zins
Loyola, OH, So., Barrington, Ill.
Zins reached double-figures in both weekend matches for the Ramblers, tallying a team-best 10 kills plus nine digs in a loss to Cleveland State and 13 kills plus nine digs in a sweep of Youngstown State. For the week, Zins averaged 3.83 kills along with 3.00 digs per game. For the season, Zins is second on the Ramblers with 188 kills (2.76 per game).
Jackie Rosen
UW-Green Bay, OH, Sr., West Allis, Wis.
Rosen racked up 33 kills in seven games for the Phoenix last week, boosting her League-leading average to 4.70 kills per game on the season. She also tallied four service aces.
Jenny Schultz
Wright State, OH, Jr., Mora, Minn.
Schultz recorded a double-double of 19 kills and 14 digs in a win over Butler on Friday, plus 16 digs, five kills and three block assists in a loss to IPFW.
Michelle DeGeeter
Butler, OH, So., Warsaw, Ind.
In the Bulldogs' lone match last weekend, DeGeeter posted two personal-bests and the first double-double of her career. She tallied 17 kills and 15 digs in a four-game loss to Wright State.
Katarina Nedeljkovic
UIC, OH, So., Serbia & Montenegro
Nedeljkovic tallied a career-high 31 kills in UICs lone win last weekend, a 3-2 victory over Youngstown State. She also led UIC with 24 kills, 13 digs and two service aces in the Flames' loss to Western Illinois last week. On the year, Nedeljkovic is averaging 4.62 kills per game.
Angie Pasquinelli
Youngstown State, S, Sr., Toledo, Ohio
Pasquinelli averaged 10.13 assists, 1.13 kills and 3.5 digs per game last week for the Penguins, including a 52-assist, 13 digs performance in a loss to UIC. She also tallied a career-best six service aces in that loss. Pasquinelli recorded her second double-double of the weekend in the loss to Loyola, as she notched 29 assists and a team-high 15 digs.
Katie Calhoon
Cleveland State, DS, Sr., Mansfield, Ohio
Calhoon matched her season-high with four aces, while posting seven digs in the Vikings' win over Oakland on Tuesday. She posted double-digit digs in both weekend wins, with 10 each against both UIC and Loyola. On the week, Calhoon averaged 2.70 digs and 0.80 aces per game.
Megan Knightly
Butler, L, Sr., Chicago, Ill.
Knightly tallied a match-high 32 digs in Butler's loss to Wright State on Friday. That total was the second-highest of the season and her career. She also added two service aces and received 40 of 42 opposition serves without error. Knightly has tallied double-figure digs in 48 of her last 49 matches.
Katie Kozak
UIC, S, Jr., Oak Forest, Ill.
Kozak combined for 35 digs in UIC's three matches last week, including 12 as the Flames won their sixth straight League match on Friday versus Youngstown State.
On the week, Kozak averaged 11.60 digs per game and totaled eight service aces.
Becky Peters
UW-Milwaukee, L, Fr., Germantown, Wis.
Peters posted 26 digs in two UWM wins last week, including 12 against DePaul and 14 versus UW-Green Bay. On the week, Peters averaged 4.33 digs per game and extended her double-digit dig streak to 20 matches.
Vikings set school record for hitting percentage; earn first weekend League sweep in 10 years
Cleveland State set a school record with a .527 team hitting percentage on Tuesday night as the Vikings defeated Oakland 3-0. The overall offensive performance was highlighted by a career-best .714 hitting clip by senior Nickole Kennedy. The Vikings also earned their first weekend League sweep in 10 years, defeating both Loyola and UIC. The win over Loyola was the first in the last 16 matches and the victory over UIC on Saturday gave the Flames their first League loss of the season. The last time that Cleveland State defeated two League teams in one weekend came on Oct. 27-28, 1995 as the Vikings defeated UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay.
UIC starts League play with six straight wins; remains near the top in team, individual statistical categories.
UIC marked its first 6-0 League start in school history after a 3-2 victory against Youngstown State on Friday. Despite suffering the first League loss of the season on Saturday to Cleveland State, several Flames remain near the top of the League-only statistical categories. Ambria Springer leads all players with a .375 hitting percentage, while Katarina Nedeljkovic is ranked second with 5.27 points and 4.68 kills per game. Katie Kozak ranks second with 13.14 assists per game and Maura McCarthy is also in second place with 0.46 service aces per game. As a team, the Flames lead the way with a .248 hitting percentage and 1.96 service aces per game.
Balanced offensive helps run Panthers' win streak to six.
After this weekend's matches, UW-Milwaukee now boasts four players with over 200 kills on the season. Cheryl Hegemann leads the way with 259 (3.56 kpg), followed by Leanne Felsing with 235 (3.05 kpg), Rachel Kuebbing at 208 (3.01 kpg) and Sarah Moore at 205 (2.70 kpg). That balanced offense has helped push UW-Milwaukee's current win streak to six. The Panthers have not lost a match since dropping the first two of the League schedule to UIC and Loyola on Oct. 23-24. The win streak has improved the Panthers' overall record to 13-7, 6-2 in League play.
Knightly among tops in NCAA once again; Daprile suffers season-ending injury.
Senior libero Megan Knightly ranked 28th in the NCAA with 5.19 digs per game last week. Knightly has been ranked as high as 25th this season. Freshman Dana Daprile suffered a season-ending knee injury in practice last week, leaving the Bulldogs down a setter. For the season, Daprile averaged 8.07 assists, 1.22 kills and 1.81 digs per game.
Raiders snap losing skid; Gunn shows off for home-state crowd
Wright State snapped a five-match losing skid with a 3-1 win over Butler on Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Freshman Lizzy Gunn, a native of Franklin, Indiana, tallied nine kills and four blocks on the match; her best effort this season. She also tallied three kills, four digs and four blocks on Saturday as the Raiders fell to IPFW.
Pasquinelli inches closer to second place on YSU's assist list; Penguins continue homestand with non-League match
Senior Angie Pasquinelli tallied 81 assists last week to move over the 3,600 mark for her career. She now has 3,609 career helpers and sits only 115 assist behind Jamie Pirotte (3,724) for second place on the all-time assists list. Up next for the Penguins is a match-up with non-League foe West Virginia, in which Youngstown looks to break a nine-match losing streak.
