BUTLER BULLDOGS (17-6, 7-4)

  • Butler ended a seven-match skid vs. Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon. The decision marked BU's first win over UWM since 2004.
  • Butler is the only school with three individuals in the Horizon League's top 10 for points per set. Sophomore Jessica Wolfe is fourth (3.72), while junior Porshia Allen ranks fifth (3.71) and sophomore Kelsey Labrum places 10th (3.23).
  • Butler ranks second in the Horizon League for blocks per set (2.40), hitting percentage (.213), opponent hitting percentage (.161), kills per set (12.97) and assists per set (11.81).

    CLEVELAND STATE VIKINGS (5-16, 4-7)
  • Senior Jordan Bateman collected 41 digs in two matches last week to become Cleveland State's all-time leader in that category. Bateman (1,411 digs) passes Emily Clark's career mark (1,406 digs) from 2002-05.
  • Junior Liz Fazio posted a season-high 18 digs on Saturday afternoon against Wright State. She was one of five CSU players to record double-digit kills in the victory.
  • Cleveland State's 3-2 win over Wright State marked the first time in eight tries this season that the Vikings won a five-set match.

    GREEN BAY PHOENIX (8-13, 4-7)
  • Senior Megan Elfering places seventh in the nation with 5.56 digs per set.
  • Green Bay is still without a road victory this season. The Phoenix will have three more chances -- at Milwaukee (Oct. 31), Loyola (Nov. 14) and UIC (Nov. 15).
  • Green Bay has dropped five consecutive matches after a season-best three-match winning streak.

    LOYOLA RAMBLERS (16-7, 6-5)
  • Loyola prepares for its final two road matches of the season this week. The Ramblers visit Western Illinois on Tuesday night and Wright State on Friday evening.
  • Loyola's final four matches are at home. The Ramblers have won more than 75 percent of their contests at Alumni Gym all-time.
  • Loyola posted its 15th straight home win over UIC on Saturday night. The Flames have not won at Alumni Gym since joining the Horizon League in 1994. Loyola's last home loss to UIC was a 3-2 setback in October 1992.

    MILWAUKEE PANTHERS (15-8, 8-3)
  • Junior Lauren Felsing places 14th in the country with 5.17 digs per set. Felsing has reached double-figure digs in 48 consecutive matches, which is the nation's third-longest active streak.
  • Milwaukee has lost three straight matches for the first time since 2005. The Panthers have also dropped back-to-back Horizon League showdowns for the first time in four campaigns.

    UIC FLAMES (11-13, 4-7)
  • Junior Katerina Hanackova (14 kills/15 digs), and sophomores Casie Sullivan (10 kills/13 digs), Jessica Dalke (17 assists/10 digs) and Dana Van Syckle (23 assists/10 digs) all recorded double-doubles in UIC's 3-1 victory over Western Illinois on Tuesday night.
  • UIC ranks 45th in the nation with 15.78 digs per set.

    VALPARAISO CRUSADERS (16-6, 7-4)
  • Valparaiso has won nine of its last 10 matches overall. The stretch is the Crusaders' best since since winning 12 of 13 in 2003.
  • Valparaiso owns a 7-1 record at the Athletics-Recreation Center this year, and has now won at least seven home matches in each of head coach Carin Avery's seven seasons at the helm (65-13, .833)
  • Valparaiso leads the nation with 15.13 kills per set and 14.07 assists per set.
  • Junior Angie Porche places seventh in the country with 4.65 kills per set. Senior Brittany Malicoat is eighth with 5.45 digs per set. Malicoat has reached double-figure digs in 73 consecutive matches, which is the nation's second-longest active streak.

    WRIGHT STATE RAIDERS (11-14, 7-5)
  • Wright State picked up its first sweep of the season on Friday night at Youngstown State. Junior Lexi Leonhard led the Raiders with 13 kills, while junior Michelle Hammond handed out 33 assists.
  • Sophomore Shaunda Sandifer collected a career-high 17 kills and six blocks on Saturday afternoon at Cleveland State. Leonard posted her 10th double double of the season, while Hammond dished out 45 more assists.

    YOUNGSTOWN STATE PENGUINS (10-12, 3-8)
  • Junior Ruth Boscaljon (.328) and sophomore Haley Kapferer (.290) lead the Horizon League in hitting percentage this season. Boscaljon also paces the circuit in blocks per set (1.17), while Kapferer ranks ninth (0.91).
  • Senior Ebony Barbosa has tallied 10+ digs in five of her last six matches. Barbosa is just 17 digs away from 1,000 in her career.
  • Youngstown State has finished with fewer blocks than its opponent in only four matches this season. Two of those came against Wright State, while UIC and Xavier are the only other schools to out-block the Penguins.
